What is a Grid Bot?
A Grid Bot is an automated trading tool that places a series of buy and sell orders within a chosen price range. They are designed to help you benefit from market movements automatically. Whether prices go up, down, or sideways, bots can capture opportunities by executing trades at pre-defined intervals. They never sleep, never panic, and always follow the strategy you set.
When Price Dips
The bot buys automatically at predetermined levels.
When Price Rises
The bot sells and secures profits.
Every Cycle
Creates realized profit opportunities.
This way, volatility—the very thing that makes crypto unpredictable—becomes the source of potential gains.
Types of Grid Bots
Long Bots
Designed for bullish conditions. You profit extra when the price of the underlying asset goes up.
Neutral Bots
Ideal for sideways periods. You do not profit extra when the price of the underlying asset goes up or down.
Short Bots
Built for bear markets. You profit extra when the price of the underlying asset goes down.

When Do Bots Work Best?
Grid Bots thrive in moving markets:
Sideways Markets
Frequent ups and downs create multiple profit cycles.
Uptrends
Long Bots buy dips and sell rallies, letting you ride the trend while capturing extra gains.
Downtrends
Short Bots will allow you to capture value as prices decline.
In short: the more a market moves, the more opportunities a bot has to trade.
Golden Tips
Smart Liquidation Management
Always monitor your liquidation price and maintain a safety buffer of additional funds. This extra margin can be crucial for extending your liquidation threshold when needed.
Profit Reinvestment Strategy
Your bot automatically sets aside profits as additional margin, strengthening your position. You have the flexibility to either withdraw these profits or reinvest them for potential compound growth.
Optimal Bot Management
When you need to adjust investments or restart your bot try to do that when the bot is in profit because editing will close current orders. Other actions like margin adjustments or profit withdrawals won't disrupt ongoing orders.
Getting Started
Most bots you can start with as little as $25. Enable the "Automatic Reserve Margin" feature during setup to fine-tune your initial investment and margin.
Risks to Be Aware Of
Bots are powerful tools, but they are not risk-free. It's important to understand the environment in which they operate:
Market Risk
Bots benefit from volatility, but extreme or one-directional moves can challenge their setup.
Token Risk
If a token fails, is discontinued, or loses liquidity, trading may be disrupted.
Exchange Risk
As with any centralized exchange, insolvency or operational failure could impact funds.
Our bots include built-in mechanisms like stop-losses and margin management to reduce the chance of liquidation, but no system can eliminate every risk.
Grid Bots are best suited for users who understand both the opportunities and the risks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Neutral bots are designed to generate grid profits (small gains from price swings). That’s why the “trend PnL” usually shows negative, except exactly at your entry price. Here’s how it works:
- Above your entry price → the bot opens short positions
- Below your entry price → the bot opens long positions
So when you set up the price range and entry point, you should plan it in a way that allows you to exit around the same price you entered. Otherwise, the accumulated grid profits might be offset by losses in trend PnL.
You have several options:
- Set a stop loss to limit potential losses
- Increase your margin and wait for price recovery
